A predictive mathematical algorithm performs a Proportional Integral Derivative [PID] calculation that learns the thermal characteristics of whichever device it is plugged into and then predicts ahead to ensure the correct amount of power is applied to maintain the temperature to within 0.1 Celcius of the feedback from the thermistor probe. (Proportional control alone is not and wide swings of temperature occur with such system).
The PID algorithm also ensures there is no temperature overshoot when the devices is first turned on and there is no prolonged waiting whilst the system reaches equilibrium.
Two separate thermistors provide different feedback loops. One thermistor placed close to the heating element / perfusion tubes provides a short feedback loop for close control. The second thermistor is available as a hand held probe for placement close to the biological preparation. The controller will automatically register and allow for the offset between the two thermistors. The control software allows for the handheld probe to also be used as the main feedback loop.

Power supply is noise free DC and earth bonding is common and floating with a connection point to the chamber, faraday cage or other system

RS232 output of analogue data to PC, this can also be available as digital data in some instances.

Connection to third party devices is available from the sockets available on rear panel, we can advise you of suitable PID values for your device.
