Ionoptix is committed to high-time resolution imaging. Among the things we have learned in 15 years of making ratiometric imaging systems is: online analysis rules. You will never have to wait to see fully calibrated, background subtracted images and zone averages. These are calculated and displayed at video rate. When the experiment is done, the analysis is done.
Ratiometric fluorescence is time resolved. Time resolved events are best displayed with graphs, not images. Zone averages are central to the operation of our software both during acquistion and during analysis. Images take memory. While the rate at which we can move images around the computer bus and the amount of memory to store them in has changed, imaging still consumes RAM at a voracious pace. We employ numerous tricks to reduce memory consumption. It is with these lessons firmly in mind that we have developed our current batch of Imaging Systems that allow you to capture images up to 240 fps, or 120 ratios per second.
We offer standard systems using any of our three light sources: the HyperSwitch, the StepperSwitch, or the Optoscan. In addition, we offer three different cameras to permit almost any combination of price and performance. In all cases, the system is a complete turn-key system that in addition to offering full image acquisition capabilities, also permits the simultaneous acquisition of up to 4 channels of 12-bit analog data at rates of up to 1000Hz. The data rates of the image acquisition are dependent on the camera and light source.
IonOptix Imaging Systems are complete systems. We can interface our system to any existing fluorescence microscope. There is a minimum of hassle on the part of the user as not only are there no additional components to purchase, but we also will come to the lab and install everything leaving you with a fully operational system. In situations where the customer is building a rig from scratch, we can work with your local microscope representative to get the best microscope for the job.
In addition, IonOptix can supply a number of other peripheral items one may need when setting up a new systems such as chambers, heaters, perfusion systems, and stimulators. Please contact us to discuss your needs. |
