Researchers at Dundalk Institute of Technology's Ion Channel Biotechnology Center have conducted an investigation into the series resistence compensation of the Alembic VE-2 patch clamp amplifier. Comparing the VE-2 to well known alternatives they found that "Series resistance compensation can be applied more rapidly using a much simpler procedure" and also that "Series resistance of 100% could be obtained with the VE-2.".
